Open Business Associates (OBA) is a company specializing in end-to-end open source solutions and consultancy for it’s clients. I was hired as a Javascript and general frontend expert to aid in launching a car trading website for one of OBA’s clients. After completing this project, I then began work on a canvas based graphing tool, aimed at producing reports on employee productivity.
OBA uses an agile approach with it’s work, often using code pairing, and TDD in it’s projects.
Responsibilities & Achievements
- Used backbone.js, and websockets, to implement a live trading grid
- Sent as a javascript expert to client sites to problem solve mission critical bugs
- Used HTML5 canvas to provide a rich, animated UI for drawing graphs
- Created a native iOS application to serve push notifications to users of the client website
- Worked with clients to improve application user experience (UX)
- Worked in an agile environment, participating in pair coding, code reviews, and test driven development (TDD)
